Children's Author

Biography

Sai used to be a neuroscientist but moved into science communication and education because she loved creatively communicating science to all. Sai often combines wordplay, comical imagery and humour into her workshops and resources to engage young people with science, especially around the topics of food, health and the environment. She released her first book with Bloomsbury in February 2021, Utterly Jarvellous: 50 Primary Science Activities You Can Do In A Jar, helping educators eliminate single-use plastic from hands-on science activities (which won the Teach Primary STEM award). In June 2023 she released Chews Your Own Tasty Adventure with Faber: a cookbook with a difference, all about the science and history of different ingredients and how to ‘chews’ them to create celebratory dishes from all over the world.
