Biography

Ruth Carney is a Film, TV and Theatre Director, who has worked both in the West End and on Broadway.

Ruth is directing episodes 1,2,3 and 6 of SHETLAND Series 11 for Silverprint.

Her first feature AMAZING GRACE starring Hannah Walters, James Nelson-Joyce, Chanel Cresswell, Conor McIntyre and Angela Lonsdale has just completed post.

Ruth is an actors director and is passionate about telling stories through excellent performance and beautiful shots. She also has a a lot of experience stunt directing, including car crashes, caravan fires and police chases to boot.

Ruth attained an MA in Theatre Directing at The Russian Theatre Academy, Moscow and Middlesex University after studying at The University of Sheffield.
