Phoebe Bourke

Writer / Director

Biography

Phoebe Bourke is a British-Irish comedy writer, award-winning director and producer. She has written for the BBC, Sky, Channel 4 and Dave, and sold her first original scripted comedy to FX. She directs across TV, film and commercials, with credits including scripted comedy for Sky and Channel 4, as well as Fern Brady’s original Netflix special.

Phoebe is the co-founder of Berk’s Nest, the multi-award-winning live comedy production company praised by The Observer as “an Edinburgh hit factory, propelling improv wannabes to Netflix stardom.” She has directed over fifty hours of live comedy, earning eight Edinburgh Comedy Award nominations and two wins. Her latest short film Date Night is currently on the festival circuit, and she is developing her debut feature.
