Biography
Megan is an emerging writer from the North East of England, now living in London.
Working across genres and spaces, Megan hopes to tell ambitious, character led stories.
BE A DARLING, her first feature film, is in development with Argo and So Many Stories with support from North East Screen.
Her first short film, WOOL COAT, has won awards at multiple BIFA Qualifying Festivals and was nominated for Best UK Short at Unrestricted View Film Festival. She is in pre-production for her next short.
Audio wise, her anthology drama podcast, SAGA, is in post-production with Dice House Media. Finbar Lynch was the lead actor of the pilot episode.
Megan has been a part of The London Library Emerging Writers Programme, SEEFest Writers Lab, Drama International Film Festival Writers Lab and Watersprite Hubs. She was shortlisted for The Jed Mercurio Mentorship Scheme, landing in the final 10% of applicants.
Megan is a BFI Scholarship holder for The Female Film Club.
Megan worked with Mike Leigh on his feature film, HARD TRUTHS, as the Rehearsal AD (Script).
