Biography
Matt grew up in the Peak District and studied Drama at the University of Hull. He now lives and works in Cardiff. He is currently writing and exec producing Deadpoint for Clerkenwell Films / C4 and The Dark for Poison Pen Studios / ITV, which is an adaptation of GR Halliday’s From the Shadows, the first novel in the DI Monica Kennedy series. Both shows commence filming in Autumn 2025, with respective lead directors: Marco Kreutzpainter and Gilles Bannier.
He has further projects in development with Clerkenwell Films and Poison Pen Studios, along with indies including Bad Wolf/ Conker Pictures/ Quay Street / Kudos/ Mammoth / Pathe and Pulse and with broadcasters: BBC/ITV and Netflix. Matt’s script Debris was on the 2022 Brit List.
