Julia trained as an actress at The Manchester School of Theatre and worked extensively in television and theatre as a performer before becoming a screenwriter. She graduated with an MA in Screenwriting from the London College of Communication in 2005. Since then she worked as a core writer for the BBC’s Continuing Drama department, writing and storylining before moving to ITV to write for Britain’s biggest drama export, Midsomer Murders. Julia is also developing her own projects.
Julia is currently writing her second two-hour self-contained episode for ITV’s new crime drama Ridley starring Adrian Dunbar. Julia is also developing her own projects.
