Jayde Adams recently took her new show THE DIVINE MS JAYDE to the Edinburgh Festival.

Reviews for THE DIVINE MS JAYDE:

'I'm not sure I've ever experienced joy at the Fringe quite like I did last night' ✭✭✭✭✭ I Talk Telly

‘Jayde’s entertaining show is packed with heart, cabaret spirit & deceptive emotion between sassy punchlines… Despite her ear-catching West End voice, it’s Jayde’s powerful stage presence, clever word-craft & lusty delivery that mark her development as a performer over the past few years.’ ✭✭✭✭ Whats on London

‘She makes full use of her fantastic set of pipes and self-deprecating manner...’  ✭✭✭✭ Fest Mag

'The Divine Ms Jayde is a big production matching an equally big voice which lifts this show above its comedy value' ✭✭✭✭  The Skinny

'She combines full-throttle show tunes with dispensing homespun wisdom, and there's some great comedy for good measure... Glam, glitter and a deconstruction of feminism? Now that's divine.' ✭✭✭✭ The Arts Desk

'Flamboyant, glitzy, elaborate, this show could easily be at home at the London Stadium... There is a fantastic rapport between Adams, Thomas, Wilson and the audience, who seamlessly collaborate to provide a polished crowd-pleasing performance' ✭✭✭✭ Entertainment Focus

“Jayde Adams show hits you like a thunderbolt.”✭✭✭✭ Funny Women

“Brimming with fabulous frocks, acerbic wit, and vocals to die for, Jayde is definitely divine!” ✭✭✭✭ Curtains Up

Besides being nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2016 Edinburgh Comedy Award, making the BBC New Talent Hotlist 2017 and earning rave reviews for her Edinburgh show Jayde Adams is Jayded last year, Jayde can often be seen on the small screen – credits include 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), 8 Out of 10 Cats (E4), Dara O’Briain’s Go 8 Bit S3 (Dave) and Russell Brand’s Stand Off for Comic Relief (BBC).

In the autumn of 2018, Jayde co-hosted the pilot of her, Kiri Pritchard Maclean and Dave Cribbs' show, Amusical, for Comedy Central. It will air in 2019. The pilot is the television adaptation of their popular monthly live comedy/musical night, Amusical

She also took part in Comedy Central’s smash hit series Roast Battle (hosted by Jimmy Carr and judged by Katherine Ryan and Russell Brand) roasting comedian Alex Edelman who she beat in typical Jayde style.

Jayde recently hosted a pilot for Comedy Central, Say Whaaat? with the Impractical Jokers and she will be seen hosting an episode of Comedy Central At The Comedy Story (which will go out this year). She was also a guest on The Chris Ramsay Show (Comedy Central) with Example.

Jayde has acting credits in Russell Howard’s A Gert Lush Christmas (BBC2), A Spencer Jones Christmas (Sky Arts) (which won the 2016 Broadcast Digital Award for Best Scripted Online Short) and Borderline (Channel 5) alongside Kerry Howard. Jayde had a guest role in Sky One’s series Sick Note, starring Nick Frost and Rupert Grint, and she has a guest role in BBC One / Amazon’s hugely anticipated new series Good Omens alongside David Tennant and Michael Sheen which will air in 2018. Jayde appeared in David Earl’s Sky Comedy Summer Short Giddy Up Gunty alongside David and Joe Wilkinson and she also wrote and starred in Bloody Tracy, her own Sky Halloween Comedy Short, with Guilty Party Pictures (produced by Jonny Sweet & Simon Bird) in 2016.

Jayde has also hosted the main comedy arena at Latitude and is a regular MC for Knock2Bag and BBC Studios. She is also the face of Sun Bingo as seen in the popular adverts directed by Jack Clough, who most recently directed Bafta-winning comedy series People Just Do Nothing with the catchphrase #AreYouGonnaBingo

Jayde is also an in-demand writer-performer and has multiple scripted projects in development with Miranda Hart, David Walliams and Jo Sargent’s production company King Bert including one
based on her Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated debut show 31. Jayde also wrote and starred in her own BBC 3 Top Ten short Affordable Meats produced by Me & You Productions (Emmy-award winning producers of Hoff The Record).

With all of this happening to Jayde, it’s hard to believe that she started out life as a fish monger in Asda who had no idea she was any good at anything.
