Jane Foster is an illustrator, textile designer and author living in South Devon. She works from a studio which overlooks the garden and a pair of lop eared bunnies. Her simple and happy artwork which appeals to adults and children alike is inspired by 50’s and 60’s designs and incorporates Scandinavian influence. Jane states that her purpose in life is to ‘bring joy into other people’s lives by creating happy illustrations’ and this is reflected in her fun children’s books and product collaborations. Jane started her career in her late 30s after having taught music to children in schools for around 15 years. She’s had three books published by Pavilion, nine books published by Templar, five books are due to be published later in 2017 and is currently working on four more. In her free time, Jane loves visiting the local beaches with her partner and nine year old daughter whilst looking for striped pebbles.
