Biography
Igor Memic is an Olivier Award-winning playwright and screenwriter. His debut play Old Bridge won the 2020 Papatango New Writing Prize. After premiering at the Bush Theatre in 2021, Old Bridge won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre, the Critics’ Circle Award and Offie Award for Most Promising Playwright, and was nominated for The Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Playwright. Igor was selected for the 2022 BBC Writers’ Academy, and the SISTER Writer in Residence program in 2023. He is currently on commission to both organisations for an original television series.
