Holly Stroud

Holly Stroud is an author, illustrator and picturebook maker who lives in a town by the sea. After spending her entire childhood drawing quirky animal characters on second-hand paper, she was awarded an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art. She loves to create character-driven stories about misfit children, talking cats, and anything a little bit spooky.

With an energetic line, a desk full of coloured pencils and a little digital witchcraft, Holly crafts colourful illustrations with warmth and gentle humour. In her spare time, she is an opera-singing, crime-fighting part-time librarian – and currently looking to recruit a new cat.
