George Mann is the author of the popular Newbury & Hobbes fantasy mystery series, beginning with The Affinity Bridge (2008) and continuing with The Osiris Ritual (2009), The Immorality Engine (2011) and The Executioner’s Heart (forthcoming, 2012).
He has written an original novel for BBC’s Doctor Who, Paradox Lost, as well as numerous other novels, stories and audio scripts.
As editor, Mann has compiled a number of anthologies, including the celebrated series The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction, as well as The Solaris Book of New Fantasy and a retrospective collection of Sexton Blake stories, Sexton Blake, Detective
He lives near Grantham, UK, with his wife, son and daughter.

He’s the author of the Newbury & Hobbes Victorian mystery series, as well as three novels about a 1920s vigilante known as The Ghost. He’s also written bestselling Doctor Who novels, new adventures for Sherlock Holmes and the forthcoming supernatural crime series, Wychwood.

His comic writing includes extensive work on Doctor Who (Eighth Doctor, Twelfth Doctor, Specials), Dark Souls (based on the massively popular video games) and a series based on Newbury & Hobbes, as well as other popular game and television franchises.

He’s written audio scripts for Doctor Who, Blake’s 7, Dorian Gray, Sherlock Holmes, Warhammer 40,000 and more.

As Editor he’s assembled three anthologies of original Sherlock Holmes fiction, as well as multiple volumes of The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction and The Solaris Book of New Fantasy.
