Gabrielle Glaister

Gabrielle Glaister’s career spans television and theatre. She is best known for her iconic role as Bob in the BBC’s Blackadder, opposite Rowan Atkinson – a character she later reprised in Upstart Crow; and for her long-running portrayal of Patricia Farnham in Channel 4’s Brookside.

Gabrielle continues to be a dynamic presence on screen, with recent performances in Death in Paradise, Midsomer Murders, Silent Witness, Trigger Point, Unforgotten, Dark Money, Cleaning Up, Halo, and Grantchester. She also returned to Coronation Street for a  stint as Fern Lindon, and has appeared in Law & Order UK, New Tricks, Sherlock, All at No 20, Ben Elton’s The Man from Auntie, Wish Me Luck, Happy Families, Casualty, The Bill, Family Affairs, Emmerdale, Peak Practice, The Dumping Ground, Get Well Soon, The Franchise Affair, Mitch, Jane Eyre, Jury andThe Heart Surgeon.

Her stage career includes leading West-End roles in Daisy Pulls It Off, Great Expectations and Elton John’s Glasses. 

Gabrielle will soon appear as Mrs Rind in BBC’s The Hairdresser Mysteries.
