Elsa Court is a French-born, London-based writer and translator. Her short stories have appeared in American Short Fiction, The Brixton Review of Books, The London Magazine, The Tangerine, and Worms, and were most recently shortlisted in the Bridport Prize 2021 the London Magazine Short Story Prize 2022.
Court researches mobilities, multilingualism, and transnational literature. Her essays and reviews have appeared in Granta, The White Review, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and The Times Literary Supplement, among others. She has translated essays and interviews for publications including The Financial Times and Another Gaze.
She is currently at work on her first short story collection.
