Elena is a BAFTA-winning, London based screenwriter, originally from Dartmoor. She is a graduate of the NFTS (MA Screenwriting) and Goldsmiths College (BA Media and Modern Literature, specialising in Screenwriting).

While at the NFTS, Elena developed her long form work as well as collaborating on several shorts including A LOVE STORY which went on to win the BAFTA for British Short Animation, as well as the Japan Media Arts Festival Excellence Award, the Cilect Student Animation award and many others; while SPAGHETTI JUNCTION screened at festivals worldwide including Northwest, Anibar and 3D Wire.

Her debut feature, HITCHHIKERS (BAFTA-winner Chris Hees producing, Sam MacMullan to direct, inspired by her real life experiences of growing up in Dartmoor, is slated for production in 2022.

Elena's work combines genre with a naturally grounded approach to character, bringing nuance and a British twist to conceptually driven films.
