Daniel Portman

Dan was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA For his role in BLACK MIRROR – LOCH HENRY He is brilliantly funny in it- episode has been a huge hit and he quickly became a fan favourite of the series – landing him at no. 12 globally on IMDb’s Starmeter for the majority of the summer.

He also starred in a regular role in Justin Chadwick’s series – FEAR – for Amazon Prime.

Daniel played a supporting lead in the BBC One series THE CONTROL ROOM, described by the Guardian as a “thriller that’s almost too good for summer” with “terrific performances”. He also played a regular role in ITV’s hit show, KAREN PIRIE.

Before that, Daniel co-starred in the BBC One / Peacock series VIGIL, which was the U.K.’s most-watched new drama series since BODYGUARD in 2018.

He recently filmed a lead role in indie feature, KILL, which premiered at Edinburgh Film Festival 2023. With Daniel’s performance (along with the cast) being described as ‘…filled with so much emotion and vulnerability that it’s surprisingly easy to forget you’re watching a fairly low-budget project. They bring this story to life, and it just wouldn’t work without them or their emotional chemistry.’

Audiences know Daniel for his starring role as “Podrick Payne” in HBO’s GAME OF THRONES. For his role, Daniel received back to back Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations as part of the ensemble cast.
