Biography
An actor-comedian, Dan is best known for his alias Angelos Epithemiou, whom he first debuted as a permanent member Shooting Stars (BBC), before taking him on a series of British comedy panel shows and his own TV special that earned Dan a Comedy Award for Best Newcomer.
Further TV credits include Brassic (Sky TV), Beyond Paradise, Live At The Moth Club (Dave), The Witchfinder, This Time With Alan Partridge and Eastenders (BBC), Sex Education and The Crown S3 (Netflix). An established stage actor, Dan also starred in the lead role of Dinny in The Walworth Farce by Enda Walsh at the Southwark Playhouse Elephant last year.
A versatile actor, Skinner has starred in comedy and dramas alike; notably as the lead in the critically-acclaimed Notes On Blindness, which was nominated for three BAFTAs including Best British Film. He also earned great reviews as the lead in the BBC series The Kennedys opposite Katherine Parkinson and House of Fools with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. He has also landed starring roles in independent and cult-classics feature films including Prevenge, Swallows And Amazons and High-Rise.
As a creative, Dan co-created, wrote and performed the award-winning Brian and Rodger, soon to come to BBC Radio 4.
His most recent work sees him in crime drama The Hunt For Raoul Moat (ITV) and Series 2 of Beyond Paradise (BBC). Dan is soon to be seen as ‘Chris’ in the upcoming series First Day On Earth for HBO and the BBC. He is due to guest star in Series 14 of Father Brown.

Dan is an actor, comedian and writer best known for his character Angelos Epithemiou and as one half of Brian and Roger. Dan began his career in experimental and ensemble comedy, forming the sketch troupe The Benders with Stephen Evans and Neil Edmond.
Dan is perhaps best known for his cult comedy persona Angelos Epithemiou, first introduced on Shooting Stars before the character went on to have several more live performances and television appearances.
Beyond character comedy, Skinner has built an extensive acting portfolio across British TV, making appearances in iconic sitcoms such as My Family, Coupling, and The Office Christmas specials, to roles in Yonderland, The Armstrong & Miller Show, Reggie Perrin, The Wrong Mans, House of Fools, and Friday Night Dinner. More recent credits include roles in Tracey Ullman’s Show, Cold Call, and Not Going Out.
Dan is also co-creator of the comedy podcast Brian and Roger, celebrated for its improvised style and character-driven humour.
