Biography
Christel Dee is an accomplished content creator, presenter and all-round top ‘geekfluencer’. She started out as a member of the online comedy troupe ‘FiveWhoFans’ before joining the BBC to present Doctor Who: The Fan Show, a lighthearted companion to the main series from 2015–2018, where she interviewed stars like Peter Capaldi, Matt Lucas and Michelle Gomez, as well as writers Steven Moffat, Russell T Davies and Mark Gatiss, among others. She currently presents The Whoniverse Show, the official monthly online companion to Doctor Who, available on YouTube.
In addition to co-authoring two Doctor Who books for BBC Books, Christel has penned features for Doctor Who Magazine and was a member of their Time Team panel. She was also one of the three presenters for the official Doctor Who Podcast during the show’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
Outside of her day job in social media, her content spans comedy sketches, arts and crafts tutorials, cosplay, event coverage and unboxing the latest merchandise. Offline, Christel can often be found in the gym and is a proud advocate for both care experienced young people and the LGBTQ+ community.
Christel is also an alumnus of BBC Creator Lab 2024 and was nominated for Rising Star Creator of the Year at the 2025 ITV bCreator Awards.
