Cardinal Burns

Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns formed acclaimed sketch comedy group CARDINAL BURNS after graduating from university together. They took their surreal and off-beat brand of sketch comedy to the Edinburgh Fringe, where they were swiftly spotted and offered a show on E4. Cardinal Burns earned widespread acclaim, garnering a BAFTA nomination for “Best Comedy”, and winning “Best Sketch Show” at the British Comedy Awards, where they were also nominated for “Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist” and “Best New Comedy Programme”. Further accolades included wins for “Best Multichannel Programme” and “Best Comedy Programme” at the Broadcast Awards, and “Funniest TV Show” at the Loaded LAFTA awards. In 2014 Cardinal Burns series 2 aired on Channel 4, after which the duo embarked on their first UK tour.

They are now busy with several projects in development, and are a popular fixture on the London comedy scene, hosting a monthly night at the Moth Club in Hackney.

Cardinal Burns were recently included in The Guardian’s list of the 50 best comedians of the 21^st century.
