Becky Colvin

Children's Author/Illustrator

Biography

Becky Colvin is an illustrator and author. She loves to tell stories and capture the quiet moments in life – and maybe some of the not-so-quiet if she’s feeling crazy. She works in a range of media, often merging analogue and digital techniques, but watercolour and gouache are her jam. Some pencils too. She bagged her degree in illustration at UWE Bristol, won the Macmillan Prize for Illustration 2023 and got runner-up in the Batsford Prize in the children’s illustration category. Becky’s main personality trait is drawing so it won’t surprise you to know that that’s what she spends most of her time doing. She also knows a freaky amount about clouds and is wildly mediocre at juggling.

Who – or what – could have taken them?
