Biography
Anthony Moriarty is a screenwriter and actor from Cork City, and one of the 2022 4Screenwriting cohort, from which he is currently developing his original series REBEL.
In 2021, Anthony wrote, directed, produced, and starred in his Screen Ireland funded debut short INHERENT, which premiered at the BAFTA-qualifying Galway Film Fleadh in the same year. It has since picked up festival selections and nominations both nationally and internationally.
In 2021, Anthony’s feature screenplay DAMIAN & ELLA saw him place in the top ten percent of The Nicholl Fellowship competition run by The Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences.
As an actor, Anthony has worked in film, television, and theatre, including working alongside Colin Farrell and John C. Reilly in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Oscar-nominated film THE LOBSTER and alongside the likes of Cal McCrystal, Imogen Murphy, and Tony Award-Winner Garry Hynes.
