Biography
Amy-Leigh Hickman was most recently seen reprising her role as Nadia in the fifth and final season of the gripping Netflix series YOU. She also led Dan Sareen’s Passing at the Park Theatre, London – a poignant production focusing on the biracial experience in contemporary England.
She began her career in the regular role of Carmen on CBBC’s much loved Tracy Beaker Returns and went on to play the regular role of Nasreen Paracha in Ackley Bridge (Channel 4). In 2020 she won the RTS Yorkshire Best Actor award for this role. Amy-Leigh has also played regular roles in Strike Back (Sky), Safe (Netflix), Our Girl (BBC) and Innocent (ITV) and also starred in the Bafta-winning film The Left Behind.
Her work in theatre also includes her critically acclaimed turn as Meenah in East is East at The National Theatre. With further theatre credits Beautiful Thing at the Tobacco Factory; South Pacific and Fiddler on the Roof for UK Productions; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Half a Six Pence for Bill Kenwright.
Amy has recently been seen in the fifth series of Shakespeare & Hathaway (BBC), drama documentary series Inventing the Ripper (Sky History) and season four of Industry (HBO, BBC).
