Akshay Shah

Akshay Shah is a writer and actor originally from Stockport who has been based in London for the past 13 years. As an actor, his credits include The Father & The Assassin at the National Theatre and Upgraded for Amazon Prime Video. Akshay’s writing career began to gain momentum when his debut short film script, Papa’s Dead, was shortlisted by the BFI. He is currently developing his first television series, Civil War, with a prominent UK production company and Emmy-nominated and BAFTA-winning actor Aimee Lou Wood attached to star. In addition, he is developing a comedy pilot titled Trojans. Through his work, Akshay aims to tell distinctive, emotionally resonant stories that capture both the complex and the deeply human, while connecting meaningfully with audiences through his sharp wit and humour.
