William Hardie is a passionate designer, maker, artist and craftsman renowned for his innovative problem-solving skills.
William heads up a celebrated design company Studio Hardie, a team of committed designer makers that specialise in a diverse variety of unusual high profile projects in many disciplines including architecture, playgrounds, interior design, furniture, exhibition spaces and public art.
He is particularly interested in fusing traditional methods and materials with innovation. He has worked on many international projects including work for English Heritage, The National Trust, The London Olympics, The Design Museum and Royal Commissions.
William and the team are known for innovation, invention, high-quality craftsmanship and fun, dedicated to producing work of integrity and quality.
William is also speaker, workshop leader, expert and ambassador for craft,
championing the fusion of traditional craft with technology, architecture, design and engineering.
William Hardie is a T.V presenter on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, Shed of the Year as well as other craft and architectural-based programs.
Studio Hardie design and realize the main build projects in the Chanel 4 series George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces.
William also combines his presenter skills with the Studio’s to realize high profile publicity projects.
