Ritu stars in the hit C4/AMC show HUMANS.  Ritu also filmed one of leading roles in the comedy series 'CRACKANORY' for TIGER ASPECT which aired in early 2017.

She has previously appeared in SHERLOCK 3: SIGN OF THREE for BBC One, THE TUNNEL for Sky One and also DOCTORS for BBC.

She played Kate in James Acaster's pilot WE THE JURY for the BBC in 2016.

In 2016, Ritu played Poppy Norton-Taylor in Blanche McIntyre's production of NOISES OFF, which received outstanding reviews:

'The cast extract the maximum amount of humour from the script... A solid cast of nine give outstanding performances... Ritu Arya sparkles as Poppy.' British Theatre Guide *****

'The production's heart is the quiet ASM Poppy (Ritu Arya)... The sensitive performances of Arya and Lonsdale make visible the emotional labour and selfless support needed to keep the show going.' Exient magazine

'Perfectly executed pratfalls... Ritu Arya and Sophia Nomvete provide entertaining cat fights between a harassed stage manager and a vacant ingenue' Guardian ****

'An exemplary cast... uniformly brilliant in their multiple roles' East Midlands Theatre *****

Ritu recently played the lead in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at the Polka Theatre, to which she received some fantastic reviews:

'Outstanding, naturalistic acting from Ritu Arya who is becoming a very strong performer' The Stage ****

'Ritu Arya is a pure and gentle Belle, but also a heroine with considerable strength of mind and resilience' British Theatre Guide ****

'An immensely cleverly written role and Arya does it full justice. We feel for her, we feel with her; we see our own fears in her fears and we want to be as strong as she is in her ultimate response.' London Theatre 1 *****

Earlier this year, Ritu completed a Shared Experience production and subsequent tour of MERMAID - a bold re-imagining of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, adapted and directed by Polly Teale.

Ritu appeared in THE FOURTH WISE MAN which played at the Unicorn Theatre until earlier this year.

'Philip Arditti as the bungling Artaban and Ritu Arya as his wife – but also most deliciously a stubborn but loyal camel who he buys along the way – are excellent.' The Guardian

She also played the role of Zoya in THE COLLECTOR at the Arcola Theatre which also won a Fringe First award at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year:

'The actors are excellent, with Arya especially moving... Arya gives unsettling, poetic voice to Zoya' NY Theatre Wire.

'Zoya and Nazir's story is strong.. Zoya's fate is particularly moving.' Lyn Gardner, The Guardian.

'Brilliantly delivered by Raey, Harcourt and Ritu Arya... The heart and soul of the play lies in Zoya’s story' Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman.

'Committed and outstanding acting of the three person cast' SGFringe

Ritu has appeared in SHERLOCK 3: SIGN OF THREE for BBC One, THE TUNNEL for Sky One and also DOCTORS for BBC.

She appeared in the major new Mercedes Benz YOU DRIVE! interactive commercial, starring Kano, which had its premiere during X Factor last October. You can see the full version and play the game here (choose Evade and then Lift to see Ritu in action as a relentless journalist desperate to get the scoop.)

The story was directed by London-based Yann Demange, who also directed Top Boy. Director of Photography for the shoot was Anthony Dod Mantle, with credits to his name including Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, 28 Days Later and Rush, the new film by Ron Howard depicting the life of racer James Hunt.
