Prasanna studied Medicine at New College, Oxford and is now a writer, actor and director.

He is currently an Associate Artist of the HighTide Festival and is on the board of the National Youth Theatre.

In 2011 Prasanna was awarded the Ian Ritchie Bursary as runner-up for the JMK Award.
