THE NIGHTMARE WORLDS OF H.G. WELLS tonight on Sky Arts

H.G. Wells's imagnation will be brought to vivid life on our TV screens tonight in this, the 150th anniversary of his birth, when the anthology series THE NIGHTMARE WORLDS OF H.G. WELLS kicks off with a double-bill of two of his most famous short stories: "The Late Mr Elvesham" and "Devotee of Art." The latter stars Johnny Flynn as a painter who swaps his soul for a masterpiece, and all four episodes in the series - "The Purple Pileus" (featuring Mercedes Grower) and "The Moth" are set to follow - follow their characters' similarly twisted fates.

Adrian Shergold directed the series and Tania Reddin edited, while Anna Valdez Hanks, one of BAFTA's Breakthrough Brits, was Director of Photography.

Tune in to Sky Arts at 9pm tonight to watch the nightmares unfurl!
