Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2015

The winners of the 61st Evening Standard Theatre Awards were revealed last night at a ceremony directed by Sean Mathias

Congratulations to James McAvoy who won the Best Actor prize for his performance in the Peter Barnes play THE RULING CLASS, which ran at Trafalgar Studios earlier this year. 

It was a good night for GYPSY, with Imelda Staunton winning Best Musical Performance and writer Stephen Sondheim winning the Lebedev Award. Jonathan Kent directed the musical and LLoyd Wood was the Associate Director. 

The ALEXANDER McQUEEN: SAVAGE BEAUTY exhibition won the Beyond Theatre award. Joseph Bennett was the production designer.
