THE ICEBERG longlisted for Guardian First Book Award

Congratulations to Marion Coutts whose beautiful memoir, THE ICEBERG, has been longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award. Published last month to a wave of rave reviews, THE ICEBERG is a devastating account of the last years of Marion's husband, Tom Lubbock, the art critic, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008. It has been described as 'miraculous' and 'stunning' by the Guardian, 'marvellous' by the Telegrpah, and 'startlingly beautiful and inspiring' by the Independent.

Established in 1999, the Guardian First Book Award is a £10,000 prize awarded to first time writers for books published in English, in the UK. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London in late November.
