Reviews

'It's packed with slick, well-drilled set-pieces that Molière, himself a comic actor, knew would work, and the cast of seasoned comedy pros have all added their own spins to Foley's direction.' - Whats on Stage

'Ellie White brilliantly channels the plummy vowels of the (very) upper classes as Marianne.' - Whats on Stage

'Choreographer Lizzi Gee has the last laugh with an entirely unexpected curtain call.' - Whats on Stage

'Fringe favourite Ellie White is memorable, too, as the super-privileged Marianne, poshly-spoken to the point of incomprehension.' - Chortle

'Ryan Gage, the one lead actor probably not already known to comedy fans, is the epitome of flamboyant camp as Cléante, often stealing scenes from more established comic names. Though it’s a tight-fought competition.' - Chortle

'Ryan Gage is excellent as Harpagon’s foppish, lisping son Cléante. Flouncing in, resplendent in wig, face powder and frilly clothes, Gage hits the ground running and keeps up his manic energy for the entirety of the performance.' - British Theatre

'Ellie White as Marianne is a surprise highlight of the evening, with her overly refined enunciation making her almost incomprehensible to the other characters.' - British Theatre
