Writers' Guild Award Winners 2017

Sir Tom Stoppard was presented the Outstanding Contribution to Writing Award at the Writers’ Guild Awards on 23 January 2017, at the Royal College of Physicians in central London.

Talking about the prestigious accolade, Stoppard said: “For a writer, no award can compare to an award from other writers.  The Writers’ Guild is a bright spot in a dark world, and I feel very grateful to it.”

John Finnemore won the Best Radio Comedy for his DOUBLE ACTS episode, ENGLISH FOR PONY LOVERS, Rachel Tunnard  scooped the Best First Screenplay award for ADULT LIFE SKILLS and UA's Harry Bradbeer  directed the Best TV Situation Comedy, FLEABAG. The series was script edited by Vicky Jones.
