TIFF 2018

The September slate has been announced for the 43rd annual TIFF, and we’re thrilled it includes a number of UK films and features a whole wealth of UA clients!

As part of the 2018 Galas are the following:

Red Joan will have its World Premiere at the festival, which stars Freddie Gaminara, and with Costume Design by Charlotte Walter and Hair and Make-up Design by Sallie Jaye, the film follows the legacy of Joan Stanley, the seemingly demure physicist who was also a long-serving British spy for the KGB.

Amongst the Special Presentations, are the following:

Colette, which will have its World Premiere, stars Keira Knightley in a leading role in this historical drama. The film also stars Shannon Tarbet and with Choreography by Alex Reynolds.

Massimo Cantini Parrini lends his hand as Costume Designer to Matteo Garrone’s latest feature Dogman, which will have its Canadian Premiere.

Anupam Kher stars in a leading role in Anthony Maras’s debut feature Hotel Mumbai, about the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks and its survivors,

The Hummingbird Project, which will also have its World Premiere at the festival, which stars Anna Maguire, follows two scheming cousins that try to build a thousand-mile-long, four-inch-wide tunnel from Kansas to New Jersey that will give them a 14-millisecond edge on transactions at the NSDAQ stock exchange.

Amma Asante returns to the festival this year, with her latest feature Where Hands Touch, which was produced by Charlie Hanson and with Director of Photography Remi Adefarasin BSC. It’s the World Premiere of this disquieting coming-of-age romance about a Black German teenager who falls in love with a member of the Hitler Youth.

The 43rd Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 6 to 16, 2018.
