RTS Awards Shortlist Announced
The shortlist of nominations for the Royal Television Society Awards have been announced and we’re thrilled to have a whole host of United clients included!
Nominated in the category for 'Best Single Drama' is REG starring Kevin Doyle, with production design by Simon Rogers, costume design by Sarah Ryan and Ed Rutherford was the director of photography. Also nominated is MURDERED BY MY FATHER, starring Kiran Sonia Sawar and with costume design by Allison Wyldeck, and the BBC's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM with costume design by Ray Holman.
The BBC 3 series THIRTEEN is nominated for 'Best mini-series' which stars Valene Kane, with costume design by Sian Jenkins and edited by Hazel Baillie. LONDON SPY is also nominated in this category, which was shot by Laurie Rose BSC.
In the 'Best Drama Series' category, nominations go to ITV's THE DURRELLS starring Daisy Waterstone and Yorgos Karamihos, HAPPY VALLEY with Kevin Doyle and Katherine Kelly, and LINE OF DUTY 3 starring Brian McCardie, edited by Andrew McClelland and the first block directed by Michael Keillor.
EASTENDERS with Laurie Brett and Nitin Ganatra and EMMERDALE with Emily Head are both nominated in the 'Soap and Continuing Drama' category.
The hit Channel 4 series CATASTROPHE written by Sharon Horgan and featuring Frances Tomelty is nominated for 'Best Scripted Comedy'. Sharon Horgan is also nominated for 'Best Comedy Performance' in the series and 'Best Writer - Comedy' for MOTHERLAND. Stefan Golaszewski is also nominated in the 'Best Writer - Comedy' category for the BBC Two series MUM.
Also nominated in the 'Best Scripted Comedy' category is THE WINDSORS, for which Ben Wheeler was director of photography. Finally, the BBC series FLEABAG is nominated for 'Best Writer-Comedy' and 'Best Breakthrough' which was directed by Harry Bradbeer and Vicky Jones was script editor for the series.
