The line-up for the 57th Cannes Film Festival’s Critics' Week has been announced

The line-up for the 57^th Cannes Film Festival’s Critics' Week has been announced.

In competition this year is Icelandic director Benedikt Erlingsson’s second feature, Kona Fer í Stríð (“Woman at War”), written by Erlingsson and Ólafur Egilsson. Following the story of a woman who declares war on the heavy industry destroying the untouched Icelandic highlands, Kona Fer í Stríð will receive its world premiere at this year’s festival. Also Kevin Macdonald’s documentary Whitney, about the life of the troubled singer Whitney Houston, has been announced as a midnight screening.
