Charley Miles awarded 2018 Paines Plough Playwright Fellowship

Congratulations to Charley Miles who has been named as the Paines Plough Big Room Fellow 2018.  She suceeds 2017 Fellow Sam Steiner.  

Charley's debut play BLACKTHORN was performed at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 2016 and was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn prize.  She was the Channel 4 Playwright in Residence at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 2017 and has recently written plays for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, the Royal Court, and the West Yorkshire Playhouse.  

As part of the fellowship, Miles will spend nine months on attachment, where a bespoke programme will be designed to support her “specific needs, ambitions and circumstances”.
