Maha Khan Phillips was born in Karachi, Pakistan in 1976. In 2009, Oxford University Press in Pakistan published her children's novel, THE MYSTERY OF THE AAGNEE RUBY, and has commissioned a sequel, THE SECRET OF THE WARRIOR'S TOMB. Her first novel for adults, BEAUTIFUL FROM THIS ANGLE, was published by Penguin India and by Albin Michel France. Her new novel, currently entitled MOHENJODARO, is an archaeological thriller set between the current day when a team of archaeologists go missing in the Indus Valley, and in 2500 BC, when a revolution brews in a corrupt Priest-run society that causes the city to self-destruct and will be published by Pan Macmillan India.

Maha is also an award-winning financial journalist, and lives in London with her husband and son.
