In 2004, Kinvara wrote and performed in her first play DAZED AND ABUSED - a modern, twisted comedy of manners - which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe before transferring to London for two sell-out runs at the King's Head and Etcetera Theatres. . In 2006, the play and its original cast travelled to New York where fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg made her West Village studio space available for the production. In 2008, Kinvara attended the Royal Court Theatre's Creative Writers Programme after which she conceived her second play, AFTER INVISIBLE, which examines the role in today''s society and exposes the reality behind its airbirushed facade. She is currently working on a third play alongside her first screenplay. Kinvara attended Central School of Speech & Drama where she trained as an actress; she has acted in several UK fringe theatre productions and UK short fillms including the Oscar-nominated "CASHBACK". In addition, she has enjoyed a successful career as a leading style commentator/fashion writer for global publications including the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Times Style, GQ and Vogue. She was responsible for launching the US web-based phenomenon www.dailycandy.com in the UK and recently established a major new blog platform for Time Out.
Kinvara is an ambassdor for the Royal Court Theatre.
