Charlotte was invited to join The Young Directors Programme at The Royal National Theatre Studio in 2001. Since then she has worked as a freelance theatre director on a wide range of classics and new writing. She was director on attachment at The National Theatre Studio and associate director at The Bush Theatre as well as founding member and artistic director of Angle Theatre who were awarded a Peter Brook Award for their new play season at Hackney Empire.

Charlotte was associate director at Liverpool’s Everyman and Playhouse Theatres and is currently Head of Artistic Programme at Clean Break.
