Welsh-born Ashley Way began his television directing career in 2002 with Hoodlum & Son starring Ron Perlman and Robert Vaughan for Sky/Showtime, filmed in South Africa. Notable credits since then include prime-time British television shows Doctor Who, Torchwood, Merlin and Stella. In 2011, Ashley was BAFTA-nominated for his work on The Sarah Jane Adventures.

At the BAFTA Cymru Awards, 2015, Ashley won Best Director: Fiction for the Welsh miner’s strike drama Y Streic a Fi (The Strike and Me), which also won Best Television Drama.

He recently directed the last two ever episodes of RIPPER STREET for Tiger Aspect, as well as directing two episodes of Antoine Fuqua's crime drama ICE for Audience Network, starring Donald Sutherland and Ray Winstone. He's now directing on ORIGIN, a new scifi drama for Left Bank and YouTube Red. 

Ashley is also represented by Zachary Carlisle at ICM in the US.
