Alistair Elliot (Estate)

Alistair Elliot has translated ALCESTIS (Euripides translation), OEDIPUS TYRANNUS (Sophocles Translation), OEDIPUS COLONNUS (Sophocles Translation), and MEDEA (Euripides Translation) for the theatre, and books by Heine and Verlaine. Alastair's latest book of poems is a translation of ITALIAN LANDSCAPE POEMS.

Alistair has edited a parallel text edition of Virgil's GEORGICS with Dryden's translation (Mid/NAG)

His MEDEA opened at the Almeida Theatre in September 1992 with Diana Rigg in the title role, and subsequently went on tour in the autumn of 1993 prior to a West End run at Wyndhams Theatre. The production opened in New York at the Longacre Theatre from March 27th, 1994.
